📢❗We Are Hiring: Technicians / Research Assistants📢❗

We are looking for multiple Technicians or Research Assistants to join our team. These are primarily remote positions, suitable for candidates with a background in biomedical science, immunology, computational biology, or other related fields.

Responsibilities:

· Routine data analysis (GraphPad Prism: statistics, P‑value calculation, graphing, etc.)
¡ Bioinformatics analysis
¡ Machine learning and/or deep learning model development and application
· Wet‑lab data analysis (e.g., flow cytometry/FlowJo, Western blot/ImageJ, etc.)
¡ Literature searching and scientific writing

What we offer:

· Fully remote – no need to be on‑site.
· Generous authorship. Authorship positions are assigned based on actual contribution, including co‑author, first author (co‑first included), or even corresponding author where merited.
¡ High productivity. The lab publishes at least 10 JCR Q1 papers per year, so you never have to worry about lacking outputs or authorship opportunities.
· Flexible schedule. When there is no work, your time is entirely your own – no need to be on standby.
¡ A supportive and open lab culture. We value equality, open conversation, and we talk about everything from science to everyday life.
· Strong recommendation letters. Thanks to our extensive collaborations with multiple institutions across different countries, outstanding performers can receive well‑supported reference letters.

We are looking for someone with:

¡ Strong English reading and writing skills
¡ Proficient literature searching abilities
¡ Ability to independently conduct data analysis and draft manuscripts
¡ Familiarity with any of the following: GraphPad Prism, bioinformatics tools, machine/deep learning frameworks, FlowJo, ImageJ, etc.

We do not require you to master all of the above, but the more you know, the better. If you have all of them, that will be a significant plus.

Note:
Occasional overtime may be required. This is not because of a “pushy boss”, but because we collaborate with partners in multiple time zones, which sometimes requires cross‑time‑zone communication. However, this is only occasional, not the norm. We believe in results, not hours – work hard when working, and disconnect when not.

Position: On‑site Research Assistant (Short‑term)

We are recruiting multiple research assistants for a collaborative clinical and translational research project involving Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, Lancaster University (UK), West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and Sichuan Cancer Hospital. These are primarily on‑site positions.

Location

Shenzhen or Chengdu. The exact workspace will be arranged based on team needs, and occasional travel may be required. You are welcome to indicate your preferred city in your application.

Duration

One to two months, with flexible scheduling based on the experimental plan.

Responsibilities

¡ Collecting, sorting, and organising biological samples
¡ Entering and verifying sample information
¡ Performing routine detection assays (each sample takes only a few minutes)

The work itself is straightforward, but it requires carefulness and attention to detail, as we will be handling thousands of samples.

We are looking for someone who

· Is responsible and detail‑oriented
· Can work on‑site with a flexible schedule
¡ Has a background in biomedical sciences (preferred but not required)
¡ Has experience in computer science or machine learning (a strong plus)

What you will gain from this project

· High‑quality reference letters to support your future academic or career applications
¡ Opportunities for postgraduate study, PhD positions, or visiting scholar placements through our recommendation network
· Authorship credits in top‑tier journals (CNS, The Lancet, BMJ or their major sub‑journals) and other publications, with authorship order determined by workload and actual contribution
¡ If you are not from Shenzhen or Chengdu, this also offers a great chance to explore a new city

If you are interested, please send your CV or and statement to s.cai6@lancaster.ac.uk;shanshancai1@outlook.com and indicate your preferred work city in the email.
